To be the master of your health, you need to be able to measure your current and future level of health. This is where Blood Health and Nutrition can help; we analyse your current level of health using blood Microscopy.

Who is this performed by?

The Blood Microscopy is performed by Phil Burton who has been studying health, nutrition and natural healing for over 17 years. Phil was trained specifically as a blood microscopist in San Diego, California at the beginning of 2006 and has been working as a full time Blood Microscopist since that time. Phil has completed further training in the advanced techniques of blood microscopy and restoring the acid/alkaline balance within the body. He is passionate about helping others to gain optimal health. Phil uses phase contrast and brightfield microscopy of the blood, identifying strengths and weaknesses in the body and offering nutritional guidance.

What can you expect to see?

The blood is displayed on a screen in front of you, allowing immediate explanation of what you are seeing (effectively you are looking inside your body). Unlike traditional blood tests that measure quantities of cells, we are looking at the quality of your cells and can give prior warning of oncoming challenges that often show up in the blood even years before any symptoms or conditions develop.

How is blood Microscopy performed and what can be observed?

The blood Microscopy is carried out by extracting a minute amount of capillary blood from the fingertip and placing it on a microscope slide and then observing it through two different optical modalities of a high powered microscope. This technique enables a Microscopist as well as a client to observe the features of the blood terrain via video monitor. Among the phenomena observed in the live and dry blood are:

  • The level of activity or lack of activity of the immune system
  • The condition of stress in the red blood cells of the liver, kidney, pancreas, heart, lung, prostate, ovaries, breast and other areas
  • The presence of parasites, yeast, fungus, mould, and the degree of pleomorphic activity
  • Observation of features associated with blood sugar imbalance
  • Observation of features associated with malabsorption of fats
  • Observation of features associated with protein malabsorption
  • Observation of phenomena associated with nutrient malabsorption and vitamin deficiency
  • Observation of crystalline forms such as protoplasts, fibrous thallus, uric acid, cholesterol and mycotoxins
  • Observation of phenomena associated with gastro-intestinal tract dysfunction
  • Observation of phenomena associated with degenerative conditions

During your appointment

Feel free to eat after the blood sample is taken if you need to.
You can bring a partner along but most people find they will learn the most if children are not in attendance.

How long does it take?

The initial appointment normally takes approximately one and a half hours to cover the necessary information; but please allow two hours.
Follow up appointments are recommended after 4 months to check on progress and these take approximately one hour, but please allow one and a half hours.

After the blood Microscopy has been carried out you will receive photos of your blood on disc and a manual describing how to alkalise the body.

What peparation is needed?

Please fast for three hours prior; this means no foods or liquids other than drinking water (drink the amount of water you would normally drink). Please do not wear perfume or aftershave on the day of the test.

Optional:

Please complete a food and beverage diary with everything that you eat and drink for three or four days.
Please check and record the pH of your first morning urine for a few days if possible (free pH strips are available from us for you to do this)
